Download ProBooks Lite
When you click below you'll start downloading of the file PBLITE.EXE.
The size of this file is approximately five megabytes (8mb). Downloading
PBLITE.EXE will usually take about 20 minutes with a 56k modem, much less with a
cable or DSL connection.
To Install ProBooks Lite you will need to have approximately forty megabytes
(50mb) of free space on your hard drive.
Before continuing, please print the instructions for installing ProBooks
Lite from the file you will be downloading file by clicking on File, then
Print from the Menu Bar at the top of this window.
After you've printed the instructions , click on the Download Button
below.
How to install ProBooks Lite after you've downloaded PBLITE.EXE

Copy PBLITE.EXE to a temporary direcory.
If you don't have a temporary directory make one.
On our system we use a directory named C:\SETUP.
Let's assume you're using a directory named C:\SETUP

Run the command: C:\SETUP\PBLITE
PBLITE.EXE is a self extracting archive file.
Running this command will extract files used to install ProBooks Lite
from PBLITE.EXE

Run the command: C:\SETUP\SETUP
SETUP.EXE is the install program for ProBooks Lite.
Running this command will start SETUP.
Anwer the questions that SETUP prompts you for.

SETUP will install two Icons in a Program Manager Group named ProBooks
Lite.
The ProBooks Lite icon starts ProBooks Lite in 'normal' mode.
The ProBooks Lite POS icon starts ProBooks Lite in 'Point of Sale'
mode.
This is an example of how you can start ProBooks Lite up directory
to any primary screen.

Double click on the ProBooks Lite icon to start ProBooks Lite.
(If you're using Windows 95 the two ProBooks Lite icons will appear
in your 'Start' menus.)

Read and Accept the PC Accountant License Agreement.
You must Accept the License Agreement to use ProBooks Lite.

Read the WHATSNEW file that's displayed the first time you start ProBooks
Lite.

Now... Click on the various options in the menu system and try things out.
