New Visual Grid Viewer Simplifies Analysis and Reporting_________________________

The new Grid control offers unprecedented capabilities for viewing and printing the information you maintain with Probooks. The Grid can be used to view any Probooks table in the new Viewer (System, Setup, Viewer). Several customized Grids appear in new menu options. The Grid makes selecting just the records you want to see easy. You can click on any indexed column header to change the sort order. And you can just as easily print the selected information, or load it into an Excel spreadsheet.

The example above shows the Customers Grid. The Company, Contact, Phone, Email and YTDSales columns have been selected to be displayed. The Shortcut menu is being used to Select only Customers whose YTDSales are greater than or equal to the selected value in the YTDSales column.

Customized Grids _______________________________________________________

If you have specific information you want to see on a regular basis, customized grids can be created for you and added to any Visual Probooks menu. Customized Grids can show specific columns, or even combine columns from multiple tables. Grids can have specific drill-down action depending on which column you double click on. Grids can have specific action when you select Print or Preview. Grids can have specific action when you click on Edit or New.

New ‘Standard Report’ Printing Options_______________________________________________

Visual Probooks 'standard' reports can now also be printed using the sans serif Lucida Console font distributed with Windows (or any other fixed width font). The report font can now be selected in the user Preferences screen. You can also select whether to print these reports with either 11 point font (the standard size) or a 10 point font. With 10 point font the reports will have approximately 1" of white space on the right margin.

New Easy Preferences Setup Options_________________________________________________

Each Probooks user can have their own Preferences. You can now quickly set your Preferences to a predefined scheme. Select Preferences form the menu bar, then select Copy From and select a scheme from the list. The standard schemes currently are 'Colorful' and 'Plain'. In addition there will be records for every other user’s scheme you can also select from.

The example above shows the General Ledger Detail Grid, followed by a GL Batch Detail Grid, and a report preview showing one of the Sales Invoices shown in the Batch Detail.
